Rio Mendoza is a range of co-fermented blends with minimal intervention in the
winemaking process. These two new creations aim to highlight the quality of the
grapes produced by the winery’s family vineyards, the fruit of years of
sustainable work in the field.
STORY:
Bodega Lagarde’s history dates back to the early years of grapevine
cultivation and the wine industry of Mendoza, in Argentina. Established in
1897 and managed by the Pescarmona family since 1970, we have always
worked to achieve the same goal of producing the highest quality wine,
holding a strong commitment to our land and its people. We are one of the
oldest family owned and managed wineries in the heart of Mendoza and
we are proud to count with historic and centennial vineyards that were
planted in 1906 and 1930
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
85% Cabernet Sauvignon – 15% Cabernet Franc
Alcohol: 13.7 %
Sugar residue: 1.8 g/l.
Total acidity: 5.1 g/l.
PH: 3.7.
Vineyards: Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo – Mendoza.
Planted in: 2006 and 2007.
Altitude: 980 masl.
Storage potential: up to 5 years since the harvest
TASTING NOTES
Ruby red with purple hues.
Fresh and spicy aromas with a good presence of red fruits.
Firm tannins, excellent acidity and a very good grip on the palate. Medium in
structure, with character and balanced
PAIRING SUGGESTION
The best wine to pair with a flame-cooked pork rib, pasta made on the plow
disc or a lentil stew on a rainy day.
Excellent choice to enjoy while walking through the garden or to drink under the
stars.
